# SRep - Social Reputation

**SRep** represents the shares of ownership a player has on his/her DAO, during a season. It is obtained by locking[ $ESSENCE](/mothora/fundamentals/economic-loops/usdessence.md) or NFTs. This token has the following properties

* As the amount of SRep increases, the player gains new ranks.
* The shares are necessary to determine voting outcomes and determine rewards.
* To earn a share of the revenue, gamers need to obtain $ESSENCE by playing the game and staking it.
* SRep expires at the end of a season.

### Technicals
