# $ESSENCE

**$ESSENCE** is a non-tradeable fungible token that has the following properties:

1. **Can be locked in the respective players’ DAO Reactor:**
   * When locked, $ESSENCE cannot be unstaked
2. **Can be used to craft or purchase NFTs:**
   * Certain NFTs can be locked in the Reactor to boost its efficiency
   * When locked, these NFTs cannot be unstaked
   * Some NFTs serve as **recipes** for other NFTs
3. **Translate to an indirect measure of reputation by playing the game as intended**

#### **The current kinds** of stakeable NFTs are:

* Essence Shards
* Essence Conduits
* Essence Rods
