The Conglomerate

The Conglomerate is a faction dedicated to the spread of free-market capitalism together with tight societal control and mass surveillance. The faction is run by 6 monopolies that are all profit driven. The middle to upper-class people is typically working white-collar positions for one corporation, while the lower class works the tedious close to slavery bottom-of-the-barrel jobs.

Conscription is mandatory for all citizens, but usually, the lower class individuals are sent to the battlefield first. The people of this faction are oppressed but are not aware of their situation due to the “bread and circuses” that the conglomerate spews on their citizens. The oppression comes in the forms of misinformation, propaganda, surveillance, and the prevention of free speech. The conglomerate is focused on colonizing neighboring galaxies in hopes of universal expansion, with the hopes that their profits will increase limitlessly. The Conglomerate relies heavily on conscripted troops, robotics, and other forms of technology.
